Healthy Life-Debt Free Life

Are You Physically Wealthy?

While it’s great to have financial wealth, if you neglect your physical health you might not be around very long to enjoy it. Far too many of us spend so much time and energy working that we’re simply too tired to treat our bodies the way they need to be treated. Often, we don’t eat right and many of us don’t exercise enough. While being in debt isn’t the only reason we neglect our bodies, sadly, it has become a significant one.

Obesity is just one of the serious health problems we face and often, it is a result of not taking care of our bodies. It is estimated that the annual cost of obesity in America is $122.9 billion! Obesity and related conditions or diseases result in over $62 million in physician visits and over $40 million in missed time from work every year! In addition, obesity has been linked to diabetes, gallbladder disease, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

For the large majority of Americans, obesity is a choice and not a disease.  While there are some medical conditions that result in obesity, the people who suffer from obesity through no fault of their own are in the minority.  While no one plans to be obese, living a rat-race lifestyle doesn’t leave much time to cook nutritious meals or exercise.  Just as we get into debt one purchase at a time, we gain weight one pound at a time.

As you can see, your financial wealth has a lot to do with your physical wealth as well.  While you may not be a millionaire by living a simple lifestyle, you’ll realize far more wealth than those who burn the candle at both ends trying to pay for things they really don’t need in the first place.

On this site we have asked you to assess your financial situation to see what changes, if any might need to be made in order for you to live a simple and debt free lifestyle.  Do the same with your physical health and start now to set goals that will put you on the pathway to physical wealth.

There are many other reasons people don’t eat nutritiously and exercise properly.  It does take some planning and work to establish a good exercise routine and healthy eating habits.  Financial and physical fitness are both important aspects of your life and they both contribute to living the life you want to live.
